£1.3m help for innovative businesses

A £1.3m project to support both the creative sector and technology businesses to engage in knowledge transfer and innovation with data is being launched by the 九色视频 in Brighton this week.

Funded by the European Structural Investment Fund and Arts Council England, the Digital Research & Innovation Value Accelerator or DRIVA Arts DRIVA will provide technology small and medium-sized enterprises, creative arts practitioners and cultural organisations unprecedented access to Gatwick Airport’s big data.

It will do this through a ground-breaking online matching service which provides access to a programme of live events, opportunities to develop links with partners, and access to Higher Education research expertise, with the aim of demonstrating the benefits of working with knowledge-based partners.

DRIVA Arts DRIVA was announced by Jonathan Sharrock, the Chair of the Coast to Capital LEP, at their Innovative Technologies showcase. Organisers said: “By unlocking the commercial, creative, social and/or critical value of data, we can accelerate the development of an untold range of new data-driven products, services, artworks and experiences.”

Tomorrow’s (6 March) launch is at 6pm at the university’s School of Media, 154 Edward Street, Brighton. You can .

The DRIVA Arts DRIVA project is receiving up to £500,000 of funding from the as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.

The Department for Communities and Local Government and in London the intermediate body Greater London Authority is the managing authority for European Regional Development Fund. Established be the European Union, the European Regional Development fund helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, create jobs and local community regenerations.
